Tennessee High School Basketball - Watertown fells Monterey

Watertown Purple Tigers (Watertown, TN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Monterey Wildcats (Monterey, TN), 43-31 in a league bout.
With the win, Watertown upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Purple Tigers host Jackson County (Gainesboro, TN) to play the Blue Devils in a 2A District 5 bout on Friday, January 19. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 13-4.
Next up, the Wildcats play the York Institute Dragons (Jamestown, TN) in a 2A District 5 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Monterey will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 47-40 non-league loss to Bearden (Knoxville, TN).
