South Florence Bruins (Florence, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Myrtle Beach Seahawks (Myrtle Beach, SC), 40-31 in a league bout.

With the win, South Florence upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Bruins travel to Cheraw (Cheraw, SC) to clash with the Braves in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Cheraw lost 72-42 in their recent league bout against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC)

Next up, the Seahawks clash with the Conway Tigers (Conway, SC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Myrtle Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 51-34 league loss to Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC).
