The Newton-Conover Red Devils basketball team (Newton, NC), dropped 40-28 in Friday's league battle with the host West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC)

In their next game, the Rebels meet the West Caldwell Warriors (Lenoir, NC) in a 2A Catawba Valley match, on Tuesday, January 16. West Lincoln will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 1-11 record after their 50-43 league loss to Lincolnton (Lincolnton, NC).
