Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Wayne County Wildcats (Waynesboro, TN) and the visiting Perry County Vikings (Linden, TN), saw Wayne County's basketball squad knock off Perry County by a tally of 68-55.

With the victory, Wayne County improves its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Deshler (Tuscumbia, AL) to play the Tigers in a 4A Area 16 challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 18-4. Deshler won 82-56 in their recent league challenge against Wilson (Florence, AL)

Next up, the Vikings play the Hickman County Bulldogs (Centerville, TN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Perry County will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 50-24 league loss to East Hickman County (Lyles, TN).
