With the victory, Port Gibson improves its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The Blue Waves travel to South Pike (Magnolia, MS) to play the Eagles in a 3A Region 7 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 14-5. South Pike won 37-24 in their recent league challenge against Franklin County (Meadville, MS)

Next up, the Cobras play the Jefferson County Tigers (Fayette, MS) in a 3A Region 7 challenge, on Friday, January 19. Wesson will attempt to improve on its 10-8 season record.
