South Beauregard Knights (Longville, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Sulphur Golden Tors (Sulphur, LA), 41-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, South Beauregard upgrades its record to 17-7 on the season. The Knights travel to LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA) to clash with the Gators in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 14-7. LaGrange lost 50-40 in their recent non-league bout against Lafayette Christian Academy (Lafayette, LA)

Next up, the Golden Tors clash with the Sam Houston Broncos (Lake Charles, LA) in a 5A District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Sulphur will attempt to upgrade on its 10-13 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 3-16 record after their 69-39 league loss to Southside (Youngsville, LA).
