The Oscar Smith Tigers basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Indian River Braves to 35 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hickory for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Oscar Smith will meet a Hawks team coming off a 67-32 non-league loss to Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-4.
The Braves (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Grassfield (Chesapeake, VA). The Grizzlies enter the non-league contest with a 6-0 record. In their last contest, Grassfield nudged Hickory (Chesapeake, VA), 67-32, in a non-league contest.
