Swansboro Pirates (Swansboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Richlands Wildcats (Richlands, NC), 34-11 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Swansboro upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Pirates travel to East Duplin (Beulaville, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 15. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 6-1. East Duplin lost 23-15 in their recent league bout against James Kenan (Warsaw, NC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Dixon Bulldogs (Holly Ridge, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 19. Richlands will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
