Schurr Spartans (Montebello, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Alhambra Moors (Alhambra, CA), 45-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Schurr upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign.

Next up, the Moors play the San Gabriel Matadors (San Gabriel, CA) in a bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Alhambra will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record. The Matadors come into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 52-44 non-league loss to Wilson (Los Angeles, CA).
