North Carolina High School Basketball - Bessemer City can't hold off Cherryville

The Cherryville Ironmen basketball team scored 32 points and held the host Bessemer City Yellow Jackets to 30 in the Ironmen non-league triumph on Friday.
The Ironmen now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Highland Tech for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 16. Cherryville will battle a Rams team coming off a 66-24 non-league loss to Shelby (Shelby, NC). The Rams record now stands at 1-11.
The Yellow Jackets (0-10) will now prepare for their contest against Burns (Lawndale, NC). The Bulldogs enter the non-league contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Burns nudged Polk County (Columbus, NC), 61-31, in a non-league contest.
