The De Anza Dons (El Sobrante, CA) basketball nipped the visiting Pinole Valley Spartans (Pinole, CA), 63-61 in Friday's league test.
The Dons (6-6) will now prepare for their test against San Lorenzo (San Lorenzo, CA). The Grizzlies go into the non-league test with a 0-5 record. In their last test, San Lorenzo was tipped by Tennyson (Hayward, CA), 1-0, in a league test.
The Spartans now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they travel to Analy for a non-league test on Monday, January 15. Pinole Valley will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 41-39 league win over Santa Rosa (Santa Rosa, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-3.
