Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC), 43-37 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Piedmont Community Charter upgrades its record to 6-3 on the season. The Patriots host Carolina International (Concord, NC) to play the Comets in a bout on Tuesday, January 23. The Comets go into the bout with a record of 3-7.
