Patuxent Panthers (Lusby, MD) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), 53-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Patuxent upgrades its record to 5-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Westlake (Waldorf, MD) to play the Wolverines in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 3-1.

Next up, the Patriots play the Lackey Chargers (Indian Head, MD) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Northern will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Chargers come into the bout with a 2-8 record after their 48-44 non-league win over Calvert (Prince Frederick, MD).
