Leake Central Gators (Carthage, MS) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the host Northeast Lauderdale Trojans (Meridian, MS), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Gators confront the Choctaw Central Warriors (Philadelphia, MS) in a 4A Region 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Leake Central will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record.

The Trojans now have a 4-8 record. They take the field next when they host Newton County for a 4A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 16. Northeast Lauderdale will confront a Cougars team coming off a 6-0 league loss to West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 5-10.
