Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting Oak Grove Warriors (Hattiesburg, MS), 5-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Cougars confront the Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS) in a 7A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Northwest Rankin will attempt to better on its 17-0 season record.

The Warriors now have a 6-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Petal for a 7A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, January 16.
