In Thursday's league outing, the Cranford Cougars (Cranford, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Rahway Indians (Rahway, NJ), by a count of 40-36.
With the victory, Cranford upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Middlesex (Middlesex, NJ) to play the Bluejays in a non-league bout on Friday, January 14. The Bluejays come into the bout with a record of 3-4. Middlesex won 52-33 in their recent non-league bout against South Hunterdon (Lambertville, NJ)
Next up, the Indians play the Abraham Clark Rams (Roselle, NJ) in a Union County bout, on Saturday, January 15. Rahway will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 57-54 league loss to New Providence (New Providence, NJ).
