The Donovan Catholic Griffins (Toms River, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Lacey Township Lions (Lanoka Harbor, NJ), 53-51 in Thursday's league test.
The Griffins (6-2) will now prepare for their test against Barnegat (Barnegat, NJ). The Bengals go into the Shore B - South test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Barnegat was tipped by Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ), 61-31, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Manchester Township for a Shore B - South test on Tuesday, January 18.
