Chiefland Indians (Chiefland, FL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Cedar Key Sharks (Cedar Key, FL), 58-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Chiefland upgrades its record to 10-6 on the season. The Indians travel to Bronson (Bronson, FL) to clash with the Eagles in a 1A District 7 bout on Friday, January 14. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-10. Bronson lost 51-20 in their recent league bout against Chiefland (Chiefland, FL)

Next up, the Sharks clash with the Branford Buccaneers (Branford, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 13. Cedar Key will attempt to upgrade on its 0-15 season record. The Buccaneers go into the bout with a 2-11 record after their 37-24 non-league loss to Dixie County (Cross City, FL).
