In Friday's league match, the visiting Alameda Hornets basketball squad scored a close 60-58 win over the Berkeley Yellowjackets.
The Hornets (13-3) will now prepare for their test against Castro Valley (Castro Valley, CA). The Trojans go into the West Alameda County - Foothill test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Castro Valley was tipped by Bishop O'Dowd (Oakland, CA), 65-54, in a league test.
The Yellowjackets now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they host California for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Berkeley will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 62-58 league win over San Ramon Valley (Danville, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 14-4.
