Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Albemarle Patriots (Charlottesville, VA), 64-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Western Albemarle upgrades its record to 11-1 on the season. The Warriors travel to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA) to clash with the Flying Flucos in a Jefferson bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Flying Flucos go into the bout with a record of 10-3. Fluvanna County won 71-39 in their recent league bout against Louisa County (Mineral, VA)

Next up, the Patriots clash with the Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) in a Jefferson bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Albemarle will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 71-39 league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA).
