Alvord Bulldogs (Alvord, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Chico Dragons (Chico, TX), 70-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Alvord upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Bulldogs host Tioga (Tioga, TX) to play the in a 2A Region II District 13 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The go into the bout with a record of 6-8. Tioga lost 57-49 in their recent non-league bout against Boles (Quinlan, TX)

Next up, the Dragons play the Muenster Hornets (Muenster, TX) in a 2A Region II District 13 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Chico will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 43-38 league win over Era (Era, TX).
