Ashton-Franklin Center Raiders (Ashton, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL), 63-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ashton-Franklin Center upgrades its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Eastland (Lanark, IL) to play the Cougars in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 6-8. Eastland lost 59-50 in their recent non-league bout against Galena (Galena, IL)

Next up, the Clippers play the Stockton Blackhawks (Stockton, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 14. Amboy will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 38-37 league win over East Dubuque (East Dubuque, IL).
