In Friday's league outing, the Aspermont Hornets (Aspermont, TX) basketball squad edged the host Rule Bobcats (Rule, TX), by a margin of 2-0.
The Hornets (16-7) will now prepare for their outing against Knox City (Knox City, TX). The Greyhounds go into the 1A Region II District 15 match with a 14-7 record. In their last match, Knox City tipped Rule (Rule, TX), 72-23, in a league match.
With the defeat, Rule moves to 0-4 on the year. The Bobcats host Paint Creek (Haskell, TX) to meet the Pirates in a 1A Region II District 15 match on Tuesday, January 17. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 1-8.
