In Friday's league match, the visiting Bassett Bengals basketball team scored a tight 66-64 triumph over the George Washington Eagles.
In their next game, the Bengals meet the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a Piedmont match, on Tuesday, January 17. Bassett will attempt to move on its 9-6 season record.
