Worthington Christian Warriors (Worthington, OH) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Bexley Lions (Columbus, OH), 49-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Worthington Christian upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Warriors host Indian Lake (Lewistown, OH) to play the Lakers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Lakers go into the bout with a record of 6-7. Indian Lake won 56-45 in their recent league bout against North Union (Richwood, OH)

Next up, the Lions play the Columbus Academy Vikings (Gahanna, OH) in a Mid-State - Ohio bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Bexley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 11-1 record after their 57-45 league win over Whitehall-Yearling (Whitehall, OH).
