Bishop Badgers (Bishop, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Tuloso-Midway Warriors/Cherokees (Corpus Christi, TX), 47-43 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop upgrades its record to 19-7 on the campaign. The Badgers travel to Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 7-13. Calallen won 66-62 in their recent league bout against King (Kingsville, TX)

Next up, the Warriors/Cherokees play the Robstown Cottonpickers (Robstown, TX) in a 4A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Tuloso-Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Cottonpickers come into the bout with a 1-19 record after their 62-42 league loss to Alice (Alice, TX).
