The Pine River-Backus Tigers basketball team (Pine River, MN), was toppled 62-52 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Blackduck Drakes (Blackduck, MN)
The Drakes now possess a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Lake for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 19.
The Tigers (5-5) will now prepare for their battle against Bertha-Hewitt (Bertha, MN). The Bears come into the A Section 5 battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Bertha-Hewitt beat Verndale (Verndale, MN), 53-52, in a league battle.
