Virginia High School Basketball - Giles knocked off by Bland County

The Bland County Bears basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Giles Spartans to 53 in the Bears league triumph on Friday.
The Bears now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Craig County for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Bland County will meet a Rockets team coming off a 62-60 league loss to Highland (Monterey, VA). The Rockets record now stands at 2-8.
The Spartans (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against George Wythe (Wytheville, VA). The Maroons enter the Mountain Empire contest with a 11-1 record. In their last contest, George Wythe ran past Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA), 91-62, in a league contest.
