Elkhorn Elks (Elkhorn, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Burlington Demons (Burlington, WI), 65-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Elkhorn upgrades its record to 3-9 on the campaign. The Elks host Delavan-Darien (Delavan, WI) to play the Comets in a Southern Lakes bout on Friday, January 20. The Comets come into the bout with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Demons play the Fort Atkinson Blackhawks (Fort Atkinson, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Burlington will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Blackhawks come into the bout with a 4-6 record after their 62-50 league loss to Stoughton (Stoughton, WI).
