In Friday's league outing, the Calais Blue Devils (Calais, ME) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mattanawcook Lynx (Lincoln, ME), by a margin of 85-39.

The Blue Devils (7-2) will now prepare for their outing against Narraguagus (Harrington, ME). The Knights go into the C North outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Narraguagus was trounced by Woodland (Baileyville, ME), 63-42, in a league outing.

The Lynx now own a 2-8 record. They play next when they host Dexter for a C North outing on Monday, January 16. Mattanawcook will clash with a Tigers squad coming off a 67-37 league win over George Stevens Academy (Blue Hill, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 9-1.
