Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Clinton Prairie Gophers (Frankfort, IN) and the visiting Carroll Cougars (Flora, IN), saw Clinton Prairie's basketball squad hold off Carroll by a tally of 72-66.
With the victory, Clinton Prairie improves its record to 6-6 on the campaign. The Gophers host Eastern (Greentown, IN) to play the Comets in a Hoosier Heartland challenge on Friday, January 20. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 8-4. Eastern lost 92-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Maconaquah (Bunker Hill, IN)
Next up, the Cougars play the Pioneer Panthers (Royal Center, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Carroll will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 56-42 non-league loss to Lewis Cass (Walton, IN).
