Cedar Creek Cougars (Ruston, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Ouachita Christian Eagles (Monroe, LA), 66-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cedar Creek upgrades its record to 4-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Saline (Saline, LA) to play the Bobcats in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 3-10.

Next up, the Eagles play the St. Frederick Warriors (Monroe, LA) in a 1A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Ouachita Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-5 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 3-6 record after their 61-47 league loss to Lincoln Prep (Grambling, LA).
