Georgia High School Basketball - Central can't hold off Southeast Whitfield County

The Central Lions basketball team (Carrollton, GA), was nudged 61-57 in Friday's league battle with the host Southeast Whitfield County Raiders (Dalton, GA)

The Raiders now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Murray for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 14. Southeast Whitfield County will battle a Mountaineers team coming off a 70-63 league loss to Murray County (Chatsworth, GA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 12-2.

The Lions (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA). The Wildcats come into the non-league battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Villa Rica was nudged by Midtown (Atlanta, GA), 60-44, in a league battle.
