Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Chestatee War Eagles (Gainesville, GA) and the visiting Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA), saw Chestatee's basketball squad wallop Johnson by a count of 80-26.

With the victory, Chestatee upgrades its record to 12-6 on the campaign. The War Eagles host North Oconee (Bogart, GA) to play the Titans in a AAAA Region 8B challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Titans come into the challenge with a record of 15-3.

Next up, the Knights play the Seckinger Jaguars (Buford, GA) in a AAAAAAA Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Johnson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-16 season record. The Jaguars come into the challenge with a 12-6 record after their 71-62 league loss to Madison County (Danielsville, GA).
