Texas High School Basketball - Palacios knocked off by Columbus

The Columbus Cardinals basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Palacios Sharks to 52 in the Cardinals league triumph on Friday.
The Cardinals now sport a 16-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Edna for a 3A Region IV District 25 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Columbus will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 54-44 league win over Industrial (Vanderbilt, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 7-0.
The Sharks (6-13) will now prepare for their contest against Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX). The Brahmas enter the 3A Region IV District 25 contest with a 9-16 record. In their last contest, Hallettsville ran past Tidehaven (El Maton, TX), 45-29, in a league contest.
