Hartford Indians (Hartford, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Comstock Colts (Kalamazoo, MI), 51-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hartford upgrades its record to 3-1 on the campaign. The Indians host Mendon (Mendon, MI) to play the Hornets in a Southwest 10 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Hornets come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Mendon lost 49-22 in their recent league bout against Beatty (Cassopolis, MI)

Next up, the Colts play the Bloomingdale Cardinals (Bloomingdale, MI) in a Southwest 10 bout, on Monday, January 16. Comstock will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Cardinals come into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 70-19 league loss to Lawrence (Lawrence, MI).
