In Friday's league outing, the Connally Cadets (Waco, TX) basketball squad felled the host Gatesville Hornets (Gatesville, TX), by a margin of 63-47.
The Cadets (18-4) will now prepare for their outing against La Vega (Waco, TX). The Pirates go into the 4A Region III District 23 outing with a 14-8 record. In their last outing, La Vega thwarted China Spring (China Spring, TX), 51-47, in a league outing.
The Hornets now own a 21-4 record. They play next when they host Salado for a 4A Region III District 23 outing on Tuesday, January 17. Gatesville will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 57-54 league win over Robinson (Robinson, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 8-17.
