Ohio High School Basketball - Coventry over Springfield

Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Coventry Comets (Akron, OH) and the visiting Springfield Spartans (Akron, OH), saw Coventry's basketball squad overcome Springfield by a tally of 55-44.

With the victory, Coventry improves its record to 6-9 on the campaign. The Comets host Norton (Norton, OH) to encounter the Panthers in a Metro test on Friday, January 20. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 7-5.

The Spartans now own a 4-9 record. They play next when they host Woodridge for a Metro test on Friday, January 20. Springfield will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 58-47 non-league loss to Washington (Massillon, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-8.
