Texas High School Basketball - Crockett nudges Tarkington

Crockett Bulldogs (Crockett, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Tarkington Longhorns (Cleveland, TX), 45-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Crockett upgrades its record to 12-12 on the season. The Bulldogs host Trinity (Trinity, TX) to clash with the Tigers in a 3A Region III District 23 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-15. Trinity lost 58-49 in their recent league bout against Coldspring-Oakhurst (Coldspring, TX)

Next up, the Longhorns clash with the New Waverly Bulldogs (New Waverly, TX) in a 3A Region III District 23 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Tarkington will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 17-5 record after their 86-64 league win over Onalaska (Onalaska, TX).
