The DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN) basketball nipped the visiting East Noble Knights (Kendallville, IN), 52-51 in Friday's league test.

The Barons (1-10) will now prepare for their test against Angola (Angola, IN). The Hornets go into the non-league test with a 3-9 record. In their last test, Angola was tipped by Westview (Topeka, IN), 71-69, in a non-league test.

The Knights now own a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Leo for a Northeast 8 test on Saturday, January 21.
