The Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) basketball felled the visiting Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA), 59-45 in Friday's league test.

The Vikings (20-1) will now prepare for their test against West (Bakersfield, CA). The Vikings go into the non-league test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, West thwarted South (Bakersfield, CA), 55-45, in a league test.

The Pirates now own a 15-6 record. They play next when they travel to La Mirada for a San Gabriel Valley test on Friday, January 20.
