The Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) basketball felled the host Dunlap Eagles (Dunlap, IL), 62-54 in Friday's league test.
The Redbirds (15-2) will now prepare for their test against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL). The Cyclones go into the non-league test with a 17-0 record. In their last test, Sacred Heart-Griffin thwarted Chaminade (St. Louis, MO), 65-51, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they travel to Quest Charter Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Dunlap will encounter a Gators squad coming off a 80-50 non-league win over Illinois School for the Deaf (Jacksonville, IL). The Gators record now stands at 7-13.
