Riverside Vikings (Taylor, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Dunmore Bucks (Dunmore, PA), 60-48 in a league bout.

With the win, Riverside upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Vikings host Mid Valley (Throop, PA) to play the Spartans in a Lackawanna 3 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 9-3. Mid Valley won 51-39 in their recent non-league bout against Forest City (Forest City, PA)

Next up, the Bucks play the Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Dunmore will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 8-3 record after their 56-35 league win over Lakeland (Jermyn, PA).
