The West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) basketball crushed the visiting East Union Urchins (Blue Springs, MS), 77-49 in Friday's non-league test.
The Eagles (17-3) will now prepare for their test against New Albany (New Albany, MS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, New Albany walloped Ingomar (New Albany, MS), 71-69, in a non-league test.
The Urchins now own a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Walnut for a 2A Region 1 test on Tuesday, January 17. East Union will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 74-64 league loss to Belmont (Belmont, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-12.
