Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Elgin Maroons (Elgin, IL) and the host Larkin Royals (Elgin, IL), saw Elgin's basketball squad wallop Larkin by a tally of 67-38.

With the victory, Elgin improves its record to 9-9 on the campaign. The Maroons host Fenton (Bensenville, IL) to play the Bison in a Upstate Eight challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Bison come into the challenge with a record of 16-4. Fenton won 58-57 in their recent non-league challenge against Leyden (Franklin Park, IL)

Next up, the Royals play the Prairie Ridge Wolves (Crystal Lake, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Larkin will attempt to improve on its 5-10 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 64-54 league loss to Jacobs (Algonquin, IL).
