San Juan Spartans (Citrus Heights, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Esparto Spartans (Esparto, CA), 54-25 in a league bout.

With the win, San Juan upgrades its record to 4-16 on the season. The Spartans host Golden Sierra (Garden Valley, CA) to play the Grizzlies in a Sierra Delta League bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Grizzlies go into the bout with a record of 3-9. Golden Sierra won 65-41 in their recent league bout against Highlands (North Highlands, CA)

Next up, the Spartans play the Vacaville Christian Falcons (Vacaville, CA) in a Sierra Delta League bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Esparto will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Falcons go into the bout with a 13-3 record after their 55-40 league win over Rio Vista (Rio Vista, CA).
