Georgia High School Basketball - Evans can't hold off Lakeside

The Lakeside Panthers basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the visiting Evans Knights to 37 in the Panthers league victory on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grovetown for a AAAAAA Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Lakeside will battle a Warriors team coming off a 80-59 league win over Brunswick (Brunswick, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 8-8.
The Knights (8-6) will now prepare for their contest against South Effingham (Guyton, GA). The Mustangs come into the AAAAAA Region 2 contest with a 6-9 record. In their last contest, South Effingham was nudged by Brunswick (Brunswick, GA), 84-67, in a league contest.
