The Riverside Panthers (Ellwood City, PA) basketball knocked off the visiting Freedom Area Bulldogs (Freedom, PA), 59-43 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers (3-9) will now prepare for their test against Ellwood City (Ellwood City, PA). The Wolverine go into the WPIAL 3A 1 test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Ellwood City went down by Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA), 62-32, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 1-12 record. They play next when they host New Brighton for a WPIAL 3A 1 test on Tuesday, January 17. Freedom Area will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 76-51 league loss to Mohawk Area (Bessemer, PA). The Lions record now stands at 2-10.
