Lamesa Tornadoes (Lamesa, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Friona Chieftans (Friona, TX), 60-18 in a league bout.

With the win, Lamesa upgrades its record to 21-2 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Littlefield (Littlefield, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, January 20. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Littlefield won 67-16 in their recent league bout against Friona (Friona, TX)

Next up, the Chieftans clash with the Littlefield Wildcats (Littlefield, TX) in a 3A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Friona will attempt to upgrade on its 4-18 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 8-7 record after their 66-60 league win over Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX).
