The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Lee Ganders to 40 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.
The Patriots now sport a 14-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Port Neches-Groves for a 5A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Goose Creek Memorial will battle a Indians team coming off a 53-47 league win over Sterling (Baytown, TX). The Indians record now stands at 13-9.
The Ganders (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against Port Arthur Memorial (Port Arthur, TX). The Titans enter the 5A Region III District 17 contest with a 18-8 record. In their last contest, Port Arthur Memorial triumphed over Crosby (Crosby, TX), 48-42, in a league contest.
